Boston Terrier

Too posh and proper to go to ground with his terrier cousins, the Boston Terrier is an American creation brewed in the heart of Beantown. Never more than 25 pounds and averaging about 15, the Boston Terrier was derived from the Bulldog and the old White English Terrier. Its head shape, square and flat on top, its expressive eyes and its tuxedo-like color pattern are all very characteristic of the breed. This smooth-coated terrier has a great deal of spunk and is able to take care of himself, even if he resists the need to chase a passing neighborhood rodent.
